The SVD (Snayperskaya Vintovka Dragunova) is a semi-automatic designated-marksman rifle designed by Yevgeny Dragunov and adopted by the Soviet Union in 1963.
Chambered in 7.62×54mmR and typically fitted with the PSO-1 optic, it remains in wide service across Russian and ex-Soviet forces and is one of the most recognisable marksman rifles in the world.
