Forsvarets spesialkommando (FSK) is the principal special-operations unit of the Norwegian Armed Forces, established in 1982. Originally created for counter-terrorism on Norway's oil platforms, it now conducts the full range of special operations, including direct action and special reconnaissance.
FSK operators are renowned for their cold-weather and maritime skills and have deployed alongside allied special forces in Afghanistan and elsewhere.
